Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy team in delivering exceptional care to residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility. The DOR is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rehab department, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of licensed therapists and therapy assistants.

• Oversee daily operations of the rehab department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and resident-centered care.

• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to maximize resident outcomes.

• Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards, documentation requirements, and billing practices.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, medical staff, social services, etc.) to ensure seamless resident care.

• Provide training, support, and performance evaluations for therapy staff.

• Track departmental performance metrics and contribute to facility quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology (required).

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar setting.

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and therapy documentation standards.

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

• Ability to inspire and develop a team-oriented, positive work environment.
