Job description

LOOP is a digital-first lead agency, exploring the intersections between design, technology and digital brand building for leading brands. With a team of 400 digital talents and through data driven marketing, we help brave clients to stand out in the digital age. Over the last few years our brilliant team has done remarkable and innovative work for internationally recognised high-profile brands such as Puma, Audi, Breitling, Red Bull, C&A and numerous others.

At LOOP, we believe great cinematography is about more than capturing beautiful footage—it’s about creating visual stories that move people and elevate brands. We’re looking for a Director of Photography (DOP) who combines technical excellence with a distinctive creative vision, confidently leading productions from concept to final delivery across campaigns, branded content, and social-first formats. Working closely with our creative, strategy, and production teams, you’ll transform ideas into cinematic content that performs across platforms. From selecting the right camera package and lighting setup to directing on set and refining the final edit, you’ll shape every stage of production while embracing new technologies, evolving content trends, and LOOP’s collaborative creative culture.

Requirements

  • Lead Cinematic Productions: Direct and execute high-end video productions from concept to final delivery, taking ownership of visual quality, storytelling, and on-set decision-making across studio and on-location shoots.
  • Create Exceptional Visuals: Translate creative concepts into compelling cinematic content, applying a distinctive visual style while adapting seamlessly to the unique identity of each brand and platform.
  • Master Production Technology: Select and operate the right tools for every production, with hands-on expertise in RED Cinema, Sony cameras, mobile production, GoPro systems, professional lighting setups, and audio recording when required.
  • Deliver Under Pressure: Capture outstanding footage in fast-paced environments, solving creative and technical challenges with confidence while maintaining exceptional production standards.
  • Craft the Final Story: Manage post-production workflows, including editing, color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, visual effects, mastering, and file optimization using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with creatives, producers, strategists, and clients to develop innovative video solutions while efficiently managing multiple productions, technical resources, and media workflows.
  • Push Creative Boundaries: Stay at the forefront of filmmaking, social media, and emerging production technologies, continuously exploring new tools, techniques, and formats while contributing to LOOP’s collaborative creative environment.

At LOOP, we believe great work deserves fair pay — and that transparency builds trust. For this role, the gross annual starting salary (full-time, based in Austria) is EUR 47,000. That’s our baseline for candidates who meet the key requirements. If you bring more to the table — deeper experience, sharper skills — we’re ready to reflect that in your offer. Our internal compensation framework is designed to keep things fair, structured, and clear.

Benefits

  • 4-day Workweek
At LOOP you can choose between a 5-day or a 4-day workweek – and have the freedom to switch between these models twice a year.
  • Free Sports and Fitness
Yoga, fitness, climbing, tennis and more. LOOP covers the costs and gives you access to fitness studios and sports facilities across Austria or Germany.
  • +20% Vacation
We don’t believe there can be enough time to recharge, that’s why all our team members get +20% vacation days per year, we call it Sunny Hours.
  • 4000+ m² Office Space
Our loft space is part of our identity. An ideal environment for working, collaborating and finding inspiration — with an additional 600m² film- and photo studio.
  • 100% Hybrid Work
Home office or LOOP office space? It’s your choice every day, and you don’t even need approval. In addition, most of our jobs are available as remote jobs.
  • International and Diverse
Team members from 40+ different nationalities in 7 locations, English as main language and a 55% female leadership quota.
  • And much more
Language Courses, Visa Support, LOOP.Horizon workshops and trainings, Klimaticket Contribution, Audiobook Library, Headspace App Subscription, etc.

So, if you are motivated to join the LOOP Team, we are happy to offer you a full-time position as a Director of Photography (DOP). We are looking forward to receiving your online application incl. your portfolio!
