Director of Engineering

The Role
As the Director of Engineering, you will lead our talented engineering teams to design and build the software that addresses our customers' most critical challenges. Our solutions help organizations answer questions like: What is causing product failures? Are our traders engaging in risky activities? How can we trace a strain of E. coli and prevent future outbreaks?

In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for setting the strategic direction for our engineering efforts, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we build scalable, high-performance software that meets our customers' needs. You’ll drive innovation across our full product development lifecycle—from ideation and design to deployment and iteration—while working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience managing and growing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong technical background with proficiency in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Deep understanding of how technical decisions impact user experience and business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for solving complex problems and creating solutions that make a real-world impact.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities while driving continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and fostering an iterative development process.

Compensation (from employer):
New York pay range — 200,000 – 300,000 EUR — (Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.)
