Position Overview:

Provides executive-level perioperative nursing and administrative leadership at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, a nationally ranked, high‑performing surgical center known for exceptional clinical quality, surgical outcomes, and patient experience. Oversees multidisciplinary perioperative teams across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas, establishing standards for safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. Collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, medical staff, and Sutter Health system leaders to promote high-value surgical care, improve throughput, and support continuous improvement. Plays a vital role in system-wide strategic planning, setting annual operating priorities, and guiding capital investments, while ensuring accountability for operating budgets, performance metrics, and maintaining top-decile results.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Other: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RN-Registered Nurse of California
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
12 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Advanced knowledge of nursing operations and workflows, and how the department’s process/workflow impacts other department operations.
Understands business and operational requirements, demonstrating ability to design and establish goals to meet long and short- term objectives.
Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness, and authority; and the ability to motivate and engage others.
Ability to build and establish effective working partnerships with employees, peers, and leaders to achieve business objectives.
Collaboration skills to facilitate open information sharing and cooperation with various stakeholders.
Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
Working knowledge of wage and hour laws.

Pay Range is $210,059.20 to $336,107.20 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
