The Director Accounting North America (m/f/d) takes on a pivotal role in overseeing accounting for SIXT’s US and Canadian subsidiaries from our headquarters in Pullach close to Munich. You will lead a dedicated team, manage financial closing processes, and be the key contact for internal and external stakeholders.     YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

    • You lead and manage the North America G/L Accounting team, ensuring effective accounting processes across US and Canadian entities
    • You own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process under IFRS, manage the financial audit end-to-end, and ensure consistently high balance sheet quality
    • You prepare monthly P&L reports for the CFO, senior management, and HQ, serving as the primary point of contact for internal decision-makers as well as external partners including auditors and tax advisors
    • You actively drive process improvements, the adoption of new technologies and AI tools, and strategic initiatives such as the SAP S/4HANA implementation

    YOUR SKILLS MATTER

    • Education Degree in Finance/Accounting, ideally complemented by a CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification. Deep, hands-on IFRS expertise, knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
    • Experience Several years of leadership responsibility in accounting, ideally within an international corporate environment, with a proven ability to work effectively across time zones, cultures, and hierarchies
    • Tools Confident with SAP or comparable ERP systems and emerging technologies, structured and solution-oriented, with a hands-on attitude when it counts
    • Communication Strong ability to convey complex topics clearly at every level from the team to the CFO
    • Languages Fluent English is essential, German skills are an advantage
