Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Make a meaningful difference in someone's life as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Bayada Home Health Care. In this rewarding role, you'll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence, participate in their community, and achieve personal goals. 

As a DSP, you will support individuals as they engage in home and community activities, develop life skills, build social connections, and enjoy meaningful experiences that promote independence and inclusion.

No experience required—we provide training!

How You’ll Make an Impact:   

  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships through one-on-one support.
  • Participate in clients’ favorite activities and community events, including programs such as Special Olympics.

  • Assist individuals in developing independence and achieving personal goals, such as budgeting, shopping, socializing, using public transportation, and maintaining an active lifestyle.

  • Provide support with dignity, respect, and person-centered care.

  • Promote client safety and well-being at home and in the community.

  • Help create enjoyable and enriching experiences that support inclusion and quality of life

  • Have fun on Maui as a supportive Buddy!

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

  • Patience, empathy, and reliability 

  • Ability to read and write in English

  • Reliable transportation and ability to transport clients to community activities

Employment Type: Part-Time (Weekday and Weekend Availability)

Compensation: Weekly Pay Starting at $20/hour, with higher rates based on experience.
