As a core contributor to the Digital Marketing MOPs team, your work will directly elevate the maturity of Cisco's marketing data ecosystem. By balancing rigorous governance with rapid AI-application development, you will reduce data friction, improve the accuracy of operational KPIs, and accelerate the transition toward a data-driven, AI-enabled marketing organization.

Mission: Turn enterprise data into trusted business-ready products that power decisions, accelerate AI, and drive measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do

Cisco B2B Marketing is seeking a highly motivated Business-Ready Data & AI focused person to drive the Business Ready Data (BRD) program. This role serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and hands-on technical execution, building the foundation for trusted, governed, and reusable enterprise data products. You will own the full data lifecycle from raw ingestion to the deployment of AI-powered applications transforming complex marketing and operational data into business-ready assets that power analytics, executive decision-making, and self-serve AI intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
Business-Ready Data Engineering (40%): Design, build, and maintain trusted Business-Ready Data products that transform raw enterprise marketing data into governed, standardized, and consumable datasets. Develop scalable data models, reusable transformation logic, business rules, and certified data assets that support operational processes, analytics, and AI.

Data Integration, Quality & Governance (40%): Engineer and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and related technologies. Implement automated data quality controls, business rule validation, metadata management, lineage, schema monitoring, and certification processes to ensure trusted, reliable, and business-ready data.

Business Data Strategy & Stewardship (10%): Partner with business stakeholders to define business-ready data requirements, establish common business definitions, metadata standards, data dictionaries, and governance practices that improve consistency, usability, and enterprise trust in marketing data assets.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Delivery (10%): Collaborate with Marketing Operations, IT, Analytics Engineering, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to prioritize business-ready data initiatives, align on enterprise standards, and deliver governed data products that enable operational excellence, enterprise analytics, and AI capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 + years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Management, or a related data discipline, with demonstrated experience building and delivering enterprise data solutions.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Snowflake and dbt with experience designing data models, developing scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, and transforming raw data into standardized, reliable, and consumable datasets.

  • Proficiency in Python and Git-based development practices, with experience automating data processes and developing reusable, scalable engineering solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience with data quality and data governance fundamentals, including business rules, validation, metadata, lineage, and controls required to deliver trusted data products.

  • Strong business and technical partnership skills, with demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and collaborate effectively across business stakeholders, Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Fivetran and modern cloud data architectures, including enterprise-scale data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.

  • Experience developing governed or business-ready data products, including standardized business definitions, reusable transformation logic, certification, data dictionaries, metadata management, and automated data-quality monitoring.

  • Experience establishing or operationalizing data stewardship and governance practices across business and technical teams.

  • Experience developing data foundations that support enterprise analytics, executive reporting, AI/ML, or AI-powered applications.

  • Experience working with marketing, marketing operations, customer, or other complex enterprise data ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, helping turn complex business needs into scalable, governed, and reusable data solutions.
