Description
Parallel is a brand agency helping organizations build stronger brands through strategy, identity design, digital experiences, and marketing. We’re looking for a Digital Designer to create polished, user-centered digital experiences across websites, landing pages, campaigns, email, and interactive platforms.
This is an in-person contract role based in San Antonio, Texas, with the potential to convert to a full-time employee role.
This role combines strong visual design skills with UI/UX thinking, responsive design expertise, and close collaboration with developers to deliver thoughtful, accessible, and high-performing digital work in a fast-paced agency environment.
We’re also looking for someone who brings a forward-thinking mindset, someone who is innovative, proactive, and eager to push creative and digital experiences forward, not just execute them.
You’ll be working from our vibrant, newly renovated downtown office located in the former SA Current building, which features two floors filled with natural light, a brand-new kitchen, updated bathrooms, a spacious conference room, and areas dedicated to both collaboration and quiet focus. Surrounded by the historic charm and creative energy of the area, it’s the perfect setting for inspiration and team development. Your work will help contribute to the agency’s overall success, creating an environment where both you and the team can thrive.
What You'll Do
- Design websites, landing pages, digital campaigns, email assets, ads, and interactive experiences
- Translate creative direction, brand systems, and strategic goals into polished digital deliverables
- Support UX discovery, sitemaps, wireframes, user flows, and content hierarchy planning
- Create responsive, accessible, and developer-ready Figma files, components, and prototypes
- Collaborate closely with developers from concept through QA and launch
- Contribute to digital standards, design systems, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Present design rationale and collaborate across creative, strategy, and account teams
What We're Looking For
- 4–6 years of experience in digital design, UI/UX, or web design, preferably in an agency environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design, campaigns, and user-centered digital experiences
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including responsive layouts, components, prototyping, and developer handoff
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, usability, and content hierarchy
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals, WordPress workflows, and modern layout systems
- Experience collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams through launch
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Flexbox, Grid, CMS constraints, and digital performance best practices
- Agency or fast-paced creative environment experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Portfolio/work samples required.
