Job description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Weare, NH. This is a full-time, shop-based position responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, take pride in quality workmanship, and be committed to keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and routine servicing.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, air, and cooling systems.
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
  • Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, or similar diesel-powered machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read service manuals and technical diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environment.
