DevOps Specialist

Job Description:
10 + years. Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. 
At least 5 years of recent hands on programming experience is a must. 

• Hands-on programming experience developing JSPs, Servlets, Portlets using frameworks like Struts, Hibernate, Spring MVC etc. 
  
• Programming skills in Java and Javascript with good understanding of the J2EE framework 
  
• Possess strong analytical skills; the ability to assess business processes, their potential technology solutions and seek areas for improvement. 
  
• Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and development tools - Eclipse, Subversion, Ant, Maven 
  
• The ability to work in a team focused environment contributing to an open source platform utilizing an agile methodology such as scrum. Any experience with test driven development, or behavior driven development is desirable. 
  
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities with the right attitude and constantly seek opportunities to improve processes and seek efficiencies. 
  
• Good communication, written and presentation skills – also – strong team work, being organized and methodical will further enhance your credentials. Experience working directly with clients and being able to quickly understand and articulate their needs is preferred. 
  
• Provide production support for in-house developed software including after hours support scheduled on a rotating basis with other developers 
  
• Experience in the investment banking industry with knowledge of securities and derivatives is required. In addition to this knowledge of the trade lifecycle and clearing and settlement process is preferred. The candidate should have some experience designing user interfaces and documenting process flows. 
  
• 10+ years experience in analysis with expertise in different technologies, business areas, application wide analysis, and proposal of solutions. Assemble, analyze, and represent business requirements. Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, recommend alternative solutions and project strategies, and engage in negotiations. Responsible for high level implementation plans, data and process models, cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and return on investments.
