DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our Chicago Office. You would work with our team to run the day-to-day operations of our trading system. The expectation is that you would develop tools and processes responsible for improving, building, deploying, managing and monitoring a 23/6 high-frequency trading system.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time support, working with traders and other developers to diagnose and solve technical issues Develop monitoring systems, tools, and processes to improve our system Formulate procedures to increase system stability and uptime Coordinate with developers and trading teams to deliver defect fixes Work with developers and trading teams to develop and deploy new features

Qualifications

Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to find the root cause of an issue Interest in understanding how and why things work, and how to make them better Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment Python programming experience Proficiency with Linux operating systems Helpful skills: Ansible , C++, webapp development (javascript, Django, etc), database NoSQL (redis), database SQL (postgres), familiarity with derivatives markets, professional software development experience Ability to manage multiple projects independently and within a team Detail oriented Reliable and punctual Flexible schedule
