We are looking for a DevOps consultant with 5 years or more experience to work on a federal project.

 

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen. No DUAL Citizens. Applicant must possess an active Secret or TS clearance.

Work location can be Dayton, OH, San Antonio, TX or remote work with occassional travel.

  • Lead cross functional teams through system processes.
  • Provide technical and strategic support for the server systems and applications residing on these servers.
  • Support end users and monitor system usage/performance.
  • Responsible for backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, patching, process automation writing programs, server installation/configuration and ignite configuration.
  • Perform duties for third-party application design, integration, support, installations, and configurations.
  • Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs.
  • Act as a resource for resolving complex problems.
  • Act as the go-to person to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for evaluation, design, and integration of all enhancements or new releases of the system.
  • Identify and implement process/procedural improvements.
  • Ability to work in Sprints and/or Kanban with a technically diverse team of operations, development and middleware.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for our Platform, "Kubernetes, Docker, APIs, Kong
  • Building automation, applications, services, api, pipelines, containers and serverless functions.
  • Build and review tests, peer review deliverables and changes. Backlog grooming and assisting with priorities

 

This resources will be part of team that is responsible for sustaining existing ERP-CS infrastructure and services. The team will provide day-to-day operations support (preventative and corrective) for ERP-CS infrastructure and services. Work as part of a product or product-line engineering team to provide technical support to single/multiple engineering teams using a variety of hardware and software products. Ensure SLA's are met, maintain the infrastructure for development, conduct test demonstrations including administration of environments and other systems software running on various platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of the whole SDLC/DevOps and the involved roles
  • Hands-on knowhow with script languages and system administration tasks
  • Agile mindset, strong communication skills and proactive attitude
  • Strong analytical and team collaboration skills
  • Knowledge on tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
  • Scripting knowledge using Javascript, XML, Sql.
