Design Manager - Civil Engineering (0030 Mar 2025)

Royal Ocean Marine is seeking an experienced Design Manager specializing in Civil Engineering projects to lead our client's design team. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of civil project designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. Your expertise will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual ideas into viable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for r projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers.
• Review and approve design plans, calculations, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding design status and any potential challenges.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and inform design decisions.
• Evaluate and incorporate innovative design techniques and technologies to improve project outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers in best practices and technical skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of design experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a design team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local and international regulatory requirements related to reclamation projects.
• Experience in marine civil engineering / reclamation is a plus
