Job description

Position Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Dermatologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This role includes diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic dermatologic conditions; providing preventive skin care; and performing procedural dermatology within a patient-centered, evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions
  • Provide medical dermatology care for acute and chronic skin diseases
  • Perform dermatologic procedures including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and electrosurgery
  • Diagnose and manage skin cancers and precancerous lesions
  • Interpret pathology results and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide patient education on skin health, disease prevention, and sun protection
  • Manage chronic dermatologic conditions through longitudinal care
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and specialty teams as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education initiatives

Practice Setting

  • Outpatient dermatology clinic
  • Hospital consult responsibilities may be included depending on organizational needs
  • Scope may include medical, surgical, and/or cosmetic dermatology based on provider training and privileges

Patient Population

  • Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Broad range of dermatologic conditions

Work Environment

Requirements

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
  • DEA registration or eligibility
