This is a managerial role responsible to map, develop, drive automation initiatives across campaigns, including managing direct reports.

Technical Skills Required

 Programming Languages

  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, Java, Python, or VBScript (depending on the RPA platform). 
  • Ability to integrate automation with APIs and databases.

RPA Tools

  • Hands-on experience with platforms like UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate. 
  • Knowledge of workflow design, BOT orchestration, and exception handling.

Software Development Practices 

  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). 
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN). 
  • Testing and debugging skills.

Business & Analytical Skills

  • Process Mapping & Analysis 
  • Ability to identify repetitive, rule-based tasks suitable for automation. 
  • Strong documentation and workflow design skills.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking 
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Optimizing processes for efficiency and scalability.

Complementary Skills 

  • Database Knowledge: SQL for querying and managing data. 
  • Cloud & Integration: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and enterprise systems (SAP, Salesforce).
  • Soft Skills: Communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management to align automation with business goals.

 

  • Occupational Certificate: RPA Developer (NQF Level 5) 
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering is highly beneficial. 
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
