The service offers a calmer, structured environment where the focus is on high‑quality observations, building relationships with parents, and producing clear, balanced assessments.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and supervising Family Support Workers and assessment staff
- Contributing to parenting assessments, observations, and report writing
- Quality checking recordings and assessment evidence
- Acting as Safeguarding Lead and attending professional meetings
- Supporting with Ofsted preparation and general quality assurance
- Helping with staff training, induction and development

- A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Strong safeguarding and assessment experience
- Someone confident in supervising or mentoring others
- Good analytical and report‑writing skills
- A full UK driving licence

Experience in residential assessment, court‑related work, or trauma‑informed approaches.
Why This Could Be a Refreshing Change
If you’re feeling worn down by the volume and constant deadlines of statutory work, this role offers something different. You’ll have time and space to focus on fewer families, build relationships, and complete thorough assessments without being pulled in multiple directions.
It’s also a strong next step for someone ready to develop their leadership skills while staying connected to practice.
