Lumino Shirley is seeking an experienced and dependable Dental Assistant to join our friendly team on a fixed-term contract, commencing by the end of August 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a modern, fast-paced practice, assisting with a wide range of dental procedures while helping to ensure every patient receives exceptional care and a positive experience.

As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice by:

• Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments
• Supporting clinicians to ensure appointments run efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
• Delivering outstanding patient care and customer service

You'll have the opportunity to assist with a diverse range of treatments, including:

• Dental implants
• Crowns and veneers
• Root canal treatments
• Cosmetic dentistry procedures

Hours

This fixed-term position is available on the following days:

• Monday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
• Tuesday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
• Wednesday: 7:45am – 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
• Friday: 7:45am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous Dental Assistant experience (essential)
• A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
• The ability to work independently and use initiative when required
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking abilities
• The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care
• Have valid NZ work rights and live locally
