Dental Assistant - Exact Orthodontics

Chairside at an orthodontic practice looks different to general dentistry, you're not treating the same mouth twice, you're watching a treatment plan unfold over months and years. You'll hand the right instrument at the right moment, calm a nervous kid before their next adjustment, and be part of the reason someone finally likes their smile in photos.

We're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our specialist team in Indooroopilly and be that steady, capable presence chairside every day.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance across a range of orthodontic procedures
• Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, and keeping infection control and sterilisation standards on point
• Supporting our clinicians so appointments run efficiently and patients feel well looked after
• Helping patients (and often their parents) understand what's happening and why
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and professional orthodontic team

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, ideally in orthodontics or a specialist practice
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
• Solid knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
• Confidence chairside and a calm, reassuring manner with anxious patients
• Strong communication skills and genuine attention to detail
• A reliable, team-first attitude
