The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Delivery Operation Specialist to optimize and support our last-mile delivery network in Rotterdam. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient route planning, real-time problem solving, and seamless coordination between drivers, customers, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution:

• Monitor and coordinate daily delivery operations in real-time

• Optimize delivery routes and schedules using JD Logistics' proprietary systems

• Allocate resources effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs)

Performance Management:

• Track and analyze delivery KPIs (on-time performance, first-attempt success rates)

• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement immediate solutions

• Generate daily performance reports for management review

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Serve as primary contact for delivery drivers and field teams

• Resolve delivery exceptions and customer service escalations

• Collaborate with warehouse and sorting centers to ensure smooth handoffs

Process Improvement:

• Document and report recurring operational challenges

• Suggest improvements to routing algorithms and delivery processes

• Assist in testing and implementing new delivery technologies

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all operations adhere to traffic regulations and safety standards

• Conduct periodic checks on delivery equipment and vehicles

• Maintain accurate records of delivery incidents and resolutions

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in logistics operations, transport planning, or related field

• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), Chinese is highly preferred

• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends when required

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with route optimization software (e.g., Descartes, OptimoRoute)

• Knowledge of last-mile delivery challenges in urban environments

• Basic understanding of SQL or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
