Decorator Mechanic

Job Description:

Job Summary:**

CROWN Middle East Can Co Ltd is seeking a skilled Decorator Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair decorating equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality in our can manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform routine preventative maintenance on decorating machines, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of components.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decorators, including ink systems, oven controls, and transfer mechanisms.
* Execute repairs and replacements of faulty parts, such as gears, bearings, cylinders, and electrical components.
* Conduct equipment changeovers and setups for different can sizes and designs, ensuring precise alignment and registration.
* Monitor decorator performance during production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with production operators and quality control personnel to identify and resolve decorating defects.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
* Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to decorating equipment and processes.


Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, with a strong emphasis on decorating equipment in a manufacturing environment (preferably can manufacturing).
* Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
* Knowledge of various types of decorating equipment, including offset printers, coaters, and related ancillary systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
* Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
