Database Development Engineer

Primary Skills: SQL, SSDT, SSIS package

Desired Skills & Experience:

5-7 years of experience in SQL Server development with emphasis on transactional systems 
BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. Advanced degrees preferred. 
Proficient in T-SQL coding for Stored Procedure development 
Experience with optimization and troubleshooting techniques to address performance problems 
Experience with large databases (terabyte +) is preferred 
Must have a strong understanding of the SQL Server database engine including but not limited to: Index creation and tuning, Physical database design best practices, Query Plan Optimizer 
Experience with advanced SQL Server features including: 
Partition tables 
Change Data Capture 
Replication 
Experience with SSIS package development 
Experience with various control flow containers: For Loop, For Each Loop, Sequence 
Experience in data flow and data transformation controls 
Package configurations 
Experience with code management tools and techniques 
Experience with source control tools 
Experience performing code deployments and keeping SQL objects in the correct version 
Use of Visual Studio SSDT a plus 
Additionally, experience with NoSQL data platforms to support specialized application services 
Hadoop/Redshift or similar for large scale data analytics utilizing Map Reduce Couch base or similar key/value or document data store for high performance cache layer
