Data Scientist

Invent Consulting Ltd is a software development company offering enterprise software solutions, CRM solutions, Business Intelligence solutions and custom web and mobile solutions that help organizations operate efficiently, profitably and productively.

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist for a 6-month contract that will be renewable based on the individual overall performance measured across the 6-month period.

• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Perform exploratory data analysis
• Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 2+ years of writing code in PHP, Java, Python or C#
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python, R, and Scala
• Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks
• Strong mathematics skills (e.g., statistics, algebra)
• Experience with machine learning and AI
• Experience working with h2o will be an added advantage 
• Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate across the team to build solid and clean code as well as close on projects in a timely manner
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services will be an added advantage
