As we are fully embarking on our transformation, we are looking for a Data Scientist who can bring advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and consumer-centric thinking to the table to support our transition to a smoke-free future in Hungary.  

During your day you will: 

• At PMI, you will work with Snowflake as the primary data platform and Amazon ML tools (SageMaker) for experimentation, modeling, deployment, and monitoring. Your mission will be to turn data into decisions, not just notebooks.
• Utilize statistical, machine learning, and programming skills to analyze large datasets  

• Use this information to develop data-driven solutions to complex business challenges that will support our product, sales, leadership, and marketing teams with insights from analyzing company data.  

• After interpreting the data, present the results clearly and concisely to management and stakeholders.  

• Help the organization enable data-driven decision-making by creating custom models or prototypes from trends or patterns.  
• Explain complex ideas to stakeholders/managers without hiding behind jargon.
• You will work with data, BI, business, and technology teams to build solutions that are understandable, scalable, and used in real life. Not science fiction. Not slideware. Real applied data science.

• Consumer behavior modeling and segmentation 
• Regional and segment prioritization 
• Commercial operations presence and ROI analysis 
• Promotional and pricing optimization 
• Product and portfolio analytics 
• Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms 
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions 

We believe that you have: 

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Data Science
• Strong Python programming skills
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
• Experience in data wrangling and working with multi-source datasets
• Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning
• Fluency in both Hungarian and English
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Physics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field

Other preferred experiences: 

• CRM and consumer journey analytics experience 
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Snowflake) 
• Retail/store-level analytics experience

We offer you an attractive base salary of at least HUF 15.116.049 / year gross, with the willingness to pay more in line with the market depending on your experience and qualifications.
