This role is focused on protecting sensitive business information through advanced data protection strategies, classification standards, and security controls.
The professional will design, implement, and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to reduce security risks and prevent unauthorized data exposure.
You will work closely with cybersecurity teams and business users to strengthen information governance and promote secure data handling practices.

Accountabilities:

    The Data Loss Prevention Analyst will be responsible for protecting sensitive information by managing DLP technologies, improving security controls, and supporting data governance initiatives. The main responsibilities include:

    • Classifying and labeling sensitive data according to approved information protection standards.
    • Developing, maintaining, and optimizing DLP policies, rules, and security controls.
    • Configuring controls to prevent unauthorized sharing of sensitive information through email, cloud platforms, web uploads, removable media, and collaboration tools.
    • Creating user notifications and policy guidance to help employees understand and comply with data protection requirements.
    • Monitoring, investigating, and responding to DLP alerts, incidents, and policy violations.
    • Supporting the creation and improvement of data protection, classification, and handling policies.
    • Providing security awareness guidance and education to users regarding secure information management practices.
    • Tracking effectiveness indicators, including improved data labeling, reduced unauthorized transfers, and timely incident resolution.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cybersecurity, information protection, and Data Loss Prevention solutions, with the ability to analyze risks and implement effective controls. Required qualifications and skills include:

      • 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Data Protection, Data Loss Prevention, or Security Operations.
      • Experience with enterprise DLP platforms and data classification technologies.
      • Knowledge of information protection frameworks, data governance, privacy principles, and regulatory requirements.
      • Experience developing security policies, controls, and data protection procedures.
      • Ability to investigate security incidents and analyze DLP alerts effectively.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
      • Knowledge of key security concepts, including DLP, data classification, labeling, compliance, governance, and security awareness.
