We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Data Governance Manager.

In this role you will:

  • Own Singapore’s data quality operating process (monitoring, issue management, remediation governance), driving transparency on root causes, prioritisation, and measurable improvement.
  • Own MI/KRI reporting and governance forums, documenting decisions/actions to closure; represent Singapore priorities in Cluster/AME and global forums and manage demand into Global/Regional CDAO utilities via a transparent, prioritised backlog.

To be successful you will need

  • Strong experience in data governance/data management risk & controls within banking or financial services, including country-level oversight and delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree (business, finance, technology or related), or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of governance/control concepts: ownership/stewardship, data quality, metadata/lineage, ILM/retention, and operating model embedment.
  • Proven experience implementing enterprise standards (e.g., Group Data Policy) and meeting local regulatory requirements (including privacy and records/retention).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence across 1LoD/2LoD, Compliance, Technology/Operations, Information Security and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Experience using analytics/automation to improve MI and monitoring is advantageous.

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
