YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Data Engineer with Snowflake focus to join Capgemini Portugal’s Data & AI consulting team. You will design and implement scalable data models and pipelines on Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud, supporting analytics and AI workloads, and helping clients move from raw ingestion to trusted, business-ready data products.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Design and implement reliable, scalable data pipelines and data models on Snowflake to meet evolving business requirements.
• Build ingestion and transformation patterns (ELT), ensuring data integrity, quality checks, and efficient processing.
• Optimize performance and cost through good modeling practices and workload tuning; troubleshoot data issues in delivery contexts.
• Implement governance and security best practices (access control, compliance awareness, auditability) aligned with client needs.
• Collaborate with analytics and AI teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets and enable downstream consumption.
• Support pre-sales and discovery workshops: contribute to solution options, estimates, and delivery approach.

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in data engineering and modern data warehousing.
• Strong experience with Snowflake and excellent SQL skills; Python is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ELT/ETL, and production reliability practices.
• Experience working with cloud ecosystems and integrating multiple data sources.
• Strong communication, structured problem solving, and ownership mindset.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
