Apply to this jobThe Data Centre Day Engineer (AMS) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical facilities infrastructure within the data centre. Working as part of the Engineering team, the role ensures maximum availability of electrical and mechanical systems through planned maintenance, monitoring, fault response, and contractor management.
The Day Engineer plays a key role in maintaining uptime by supporting daily operations, coordinating maintenance activities, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
- Monitorpower and environmentalconditionswithinall critical spaces within the facility.
- Perform assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with SF practices utilizing the internal CMMS.
- Assist with planning and scheduling corrective maintenance activities
- Escortandsupportoutsidecontractors,ensuring theyareabiding by SF work rules and processes
- Respond to site incidents, execute appropriate MOP/SOP/EOP documentation to resolve and/or mitigate issues and communicate to manage throughout event.
- Support and follow all SF Change Control policies and procedures.
- Perform site rounds and report any issues found to site management.
- Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by site management
- Adhere to all local code electrical and safety law and requirements
- Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times
- Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
- Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI’s/SLA’s. Ensure up to date shift logs / Shift Handover documents are completed/kept at all times.
- Ensure the professional image of Serverfarm is presented to clients at all times
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works
- Participate in the Call-out schedule
Shared Accountabilities
- Participate in and support MOP/SOP/EOP documentation process for site.
- Participate in and support the development of site policies and standards
- Work with site team members to deliver 100% uptime of critical infrastructure
Compensation (from employer):
53500–57500 EUR per year
