Job description

Our Client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of metal components for the automotive industry, recently ranked 13th of the 150 Top North American Suppliers in “Automotive News.” A growing and vital company, client provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.

Title: Data Architect

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 6+Months

Job requirement:

• Design and deliver robust data model and design specifications for business processes, and system processes required for Florida Digital Classrooms Plan. 

• Develop operational manual of Florida Digital Classrooms Plan database design and functionality.

• Development of code to create the database design within the department’s enterprise infrastructure.

• Analysis of required hardware requirements.

• Provide managerially requested activities, reports, and analytical research.

• Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff.

• Provide detail for project plans for implementing database.

• Status reports for implementing project plans.

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

• 7 to 10+ years of experience with large and complex database management systems and relevant computing environments with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008 and MS SQL 2012.

• 7 to 10+ years of experience in conceptional, logical, physical data modeling; development of a data strategy and associated policies; selection of capabilities and systems to meet business information needs.

• 7 to 10+ years of experience in OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments.

• Demonstrated proficiency setting up metadata registry

• Demonstrated proficiency with data dictionaries, data warehousing, enterprise application integration, relational databases, data retention, SQL, procedural SQL, Agile data modeling.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint. 

• Experience with DBMS Standards, Best Practices, Terms, Tools are required

• Ability to work well in a team environment with education and technology solutions.

• Demonstrated experience with implementation projects with the following characteristics:

o High-profile

o Multiple technologies and functions

• Experience working in state government. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff.
