Data & AI Manager

The Manager, Data & AI is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering data and AI-enabled solutions that support business operations and decision-making across Deckers. This role partners with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytics, automation, and AI capabilities.

Under the direction of Digital Technology leadership, the position contributes to data platform initiatives, analytics solutions, and AI innovation efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards, governance requirements, and technology roadmaps. The role provides technical leadership, project execution, and subject matter expertise to support digital transformation initiatives and drive operational efficiency.

45 %   Data & AI Solution Delivery
    Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of approved data and AI solutions.
    Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models, dashboards, AI-enabled use cases, and automation workflows.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
    Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements to improve quality and business adoption.
    Own backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release activities within Agile delivery frameworks.

25 %   Data & AI Solution Planning
    Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for data and AI solutions.
    Contribute to the development of project plans and solution roadmaps that align with enterprise technology priorities.
    Recommend appropriate analytics, data, automation, and AI approaches based on business requirements.
    Provide subject matter expertise on emerging data and AI technologies.

20 %   Data Governance & Platform Enablement
    Support implementation of enterprise data governance standards and best practices.
    Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across data and AI solutions.
    Collaborate with enterprise architecture and platform teams to align local solutions with global standards.
    Support development of reusable data assets, common metrics, and reporting capabilities.

10 %   Technical Leadership & Capability Building
    Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members, vendors, and project contributors.
    Share knowledge and promote best practices in data, analytics, and AI technologies.
    Stay informed of industry trends and evaluate opportunities to improve existing capabilities and processes.
    Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders within assigned initiatives.
