Job description

πŸ’™ About Bigblue

E-commerce is booming β€” but independent brands still struggle to match the seamless logistics of giants like Amazon. At Bigblue, we're on a mission to change that. We help brands by democratizing best-in-class operations: scaling faster while delivering a five-star customer experience.

Since 2018, we've built a tech-driven logistics platform powering 500+ brands β€” from fast-growing DTC players to global names like MUJI, Aigle, and CabaΓ―a. With 110+ employees across Paris, Madrid, and London, our proprietary WMS (Warehouse Management System) Atlas, and a network of 7 warehouses across Europe, we're solving logistics challenges that others haven't dared to tackle β€” making fulfillment faster, smarter, and greener.

Backed by $20+M in funding and trusted by the next generation of e-commerce leaders, we're scaling rapidly β€” from 10 million orders in 2024 toward ambitious enterprise expansion. The journey ahead is bold, and we're looking for the right partner to help us lead the way.

πŸ“Š What data means for Bigblue

At Bigblue, data is the backbone of how we operate. Our warehouse network generates millions of events every day β€” picks, shipments, returns, inventory movements β€” and it's our data infrastructure that makes sense of it all. Built on BigQuery and dbt, surfaced through Metabase and Atlas, our data platform is what allows us to move fast and operate reliably at scale.

As we expand across Europe, keeping this infrastructure robust, scalable, and trustworthy is one of our most critical challenges. The Ops Excellence team plays a key role in that mission: engineering the data layer that powers every operational decision we make.

πŸš€ The role

    Location: Paris β€” 7 rue Caumartin, 75009

Type: End-of-studies internship or gap year (SFE / cΓ©sure)

    Duration: 6 months

    Start: ASAP

Bigblue is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join the Ops Excellence team.

This is a hands-on engineering role at the core of our data infrastructure. You won't just work with data β€” you'll help build and maintain the pipelines, models, and systems that make data accessible and reliable for our entire Ops organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to production-grade data systems in a fast-moving logistics scale-up.

✍️ Our data challenges

  • Data pipeline development: Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and consolidate raw warehouse and operational data into clean, analysis-ready datasets β€” using SQL, dbt, and BigQuery.
  • Data modeling: Create and maintain data models that are well-structured, documented, and easy for analysts across Ops, Finance, and Product to use β€” applying best practices in schema design and data governance.
  • Automation & tooling: Write robust, maintainable code that automates recurring data tasks, reduces manual work, and scales with our growing network of warehouses across Europe.
  • Data quality & reliability: Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data issues, and take ownership of resolutions β€” so that the numbers our teams rely on are always accurate and up to date.
  • Collaboration with Ops & Product: Work hand in hand with the Ops Excellence, Atlas (WMS), and Data teams to understand business needs and translate them into reliable data infrastructure.

πŸ™Œ Your profile

  • Student in year 4 or 5 of an engineering school, computer science, or equivalent program
  • Strong SQL skills β€” comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing for performance, and building data models from scratch
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools and concepts: dbt, BigQuery, ELT pipelines, data warehousing
  • Python or another scripting language is a strong plus
  • You care about code quality, documentation, and long-term maintainability
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented β€” you go deep to understand data before trusting it
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Fluency in English and French

🎁 What we offer

  • 🍽️ Meal: €5 per working day (100% tax-exempt) + free meals at the office twice a week
  • 🐻 Health: Alan health insurance, 100% covered
  • 🚲 Transportation: Swile card with €42.50/month for transport
  • πŸ›οΈ "Buy from our merchants" program: birthday, anniversary & end-of-year gifts from Bigblue brands
  • πŸ’° Compensation: €1,000/month
  • Brand new offices in Paris' largest tech hub (9th arrondissement)
  • MacBooks as standard, plus any equipment you need to do your best work
