Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support IT project delivery by translating business needs into actionable data insights and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business requirements gathering, and data product development within healthcare or technology-driven environments.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Costa Rica office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop data-related requirements as part of IT projects, particularly where IT has primary delivery accountability.
• Analyze key healthcare, innovation, and technology trends to identify valuable data product opportunities.
• Engage in strategy and business unit (BU) discussions to gather and interpret high-level business needs.
• Document project deliverables, including technical and functional specifications.
• Evaluate, refine, and decompose Epics into detailed User Stories for the Data Product backlog.
• Create mockups, workflows, and process flows to elaborate user stories and requirements.
• Conduct data product-level testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Foster collaboration with other IT functions to ensure alignment and integration.
• Provide support to the Data Delivery Lead and Data Engineers to address business requirements effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, especially on data-centric projects.
• Strong ability to break down business needs into technical deliverables.
• Proficient in creating process flows, mockups, and documentation of user stories.
• Demonstrated experience with data testing and validation methodologies.
• Background in healthcare analytics or familiarity with healthcare data standards.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with SQL and data query languages.
• Knowledge of data product lifecycle and user-centric design thinking.
