Cutter/Print Operator

Applied Image is a nationwide leader in site branding, environmental graphic production and large format imaging. We manufacture and install large format graphics for the country’s most demanding corporate, exhibit and retail designers and architects. Our office/manufacturing facility is located in central NJ.

The Vinyl Cutter Operator responsibilities include:

• Perform tasks as directed by the Director of Manufacturing.
• Operate and maintain Large Format Vinyl Cutters.
• Read and interpret job specifications.
• Maintain job logs and maintenance books on equipment.
• Assist Print Operators and other equipment operators.
• Work with other Operators and Technicians developing fabricating solutions.
• Troubleshoot Cutter problems.
• Prepare material to be printed.
• Organize finished product and prepare for shipping
• Operate Laminator.
• Hand and machine mount graphics using a wide variety of film on a wide variety of substrate.
• Organize substrates and laminates and maintain Vinyl Cutter areas.
• Implement all safety procedures regarding tasks and equipment. 
• Ensure quality control.

Great attention to detail is required in a fast-paced deadline driven environment that emphasizes quality. The position requires the ability to read and execute a variety of job specifications, to operate and maintain Large Format Vinyl Cutters. Must be able to lift 50 lb. This position requires understanding of the Windows Operating System, Mac OSX is a plus. Familiarity with RIP software, especially Onyx Production House and FlexiSign, is necessary. The Vinyl Cutter Operator must be able to match precise material specifications and help find efficient and cost-effective solutions to complex graphics projects. Good math skills are required.
