Job description

Join us. But be you. At Deloitte, you’ll do more than just join something, you’ll add something. You’ve found a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to work alongside brilliant people on the things that really matter. There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?

The team you’ll join:
You’ll join Deloitte Technology & Transformation in Auckland as a Senior Consultant or Manager. You will be part of the Systems, Delivery & Modernisation practice, leading delivery across strategic managed service engagements. The team works across complex environments including cloud, enterprise platforms, and large-scale IT services, partnering closely with clients, delivery teams, and alliance partners to drive service performance and long-term value.

The impact you’ll make:

As a Cutover Lead, you will play a critical role in enabling successful programme delivery by ensuring organisations are fully prepared for go-live and transition into business-as-usual. You’ll lead the planning and execution of complex cutover activities while working closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.

Your typical day will include:

  • Defining and driving cutover strategy and execution, including readiness criteria, detailed plans, and runbooks
  • Leading business, technical, and operational readiness assessments to ensure successful go-live outcomes
  • Orchestrating end-to-end cutover execution, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and supporting critical decision-making
  • Engaging with client leadership, understanding transformation goals and aligning cutover activities to broader programme outcomes
  • Supporting transition into post-go-live operations, ensuring stability and continuity
  • Mentoring and leading delivery teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

Your expertise:

Bring your experience in cutover planning, programme delivery, and large-scale transformation initiatives, and see what impact you can make.

You’ll also have:

  • Proven experience defining and executing cutover strategies and runbooks within complex programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and support senior client leadership
  • Experience conducting readiness assessments across business, technical, and operational domains
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams, driving high performance and delivery excellence
  • Broad understanding of emerging business and technology trends and their impact on transformation
  • A self-motivated, adaptable approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver outcomes
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly in line with project and client requirements

Making an impact that matters, together:
We are driven by our desire to create positive outcomes for our clients, communities, and people. Everything we do is with intent, the intent to make a meaningful difference.

Our shared values are at the heart of everything we do. Living these values, including taking care of each other and fostering inclusion, ensures everyone can contribute and grow.

How you’ll be rewarded:
We recognise performance beyond remuneration. The Deloitte experience is built on trust, balance, wellbeing, and connection.

We offer you:

  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Subsidised professional qualifications and memberships
  • Subsidised health insurance
  • Income protection insurance
  • 22 days annual leave
  • Social events and wellbeing initiatives
  • Community volunteer opportunities
  • Environmental and sustainability focus

Does this sound like the sort of role and organisation for you? Then apply now. We would value your application.

We believe the strongest teams are made up of diverse individuals and we are proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We recognise that women and individuals from under-represented backgrounds may hesitate to apply if they don't meet all criteria. If you're passionate about this role and believe you have the skills, we encourage you to apply, even if your experience, ideal working hours or qualifications aren't a perfect match.
