The opportunity

We are looking for a Customs Process Administrator to oversee and manage customs operations across the region. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring smooth customs processes, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between internal teams and external authorities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage end-to-end customs clearance activities for cross-border import and export operations between Switzerland and France.

  • Prepare and process customs declarations for a diverse customer base, including corporate clients, freight forwarders, transport companies, and private individuals.

  • Coordinate customs documentation, transit procedures, export/import filings, and special customs regimes in compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Support customers and drivers by providing guidance on customs requirements, procedures, and documentation.

  • Monitor customs-related deadlines and ensure the timely completion and closure of transit and customs files.

  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update operational systems with relevant customs and shipment information.

  • Liaise with customs authorities, tax representatives, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of customs processes.

  • Conduct operational controls, resolve administrative issues, and support the investigation and reporting of customs-related discrepancies.

  • Manage cash handling activities and ensure proper filing, archiving, and maintenance of customs documentation.

  • Contribute to service quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while supporting team coverage and business continuity.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in customs clearance operations, particularly Swiss and French import/export procedures.

  • Strong understanding of cross-border customs processes, regulations, and documentation requirements between Switzerland and France.

  • Background in logistics, freight forwarding, international trade, or a related commercial discipline. Formal customs experience is highly valued.

  • Familiarity with customs and logistics systems, as well as standard Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to interpret customs regulations and apply them accurately in operational environments.

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Fluency in German and French, both written and spoken; English proficiency is an advantage.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliable team player with a proactive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, adaptability, and the ability to work independently when required.
