Job Description

​​The OneSource Customer Service Engineer is embedded on-site at our client Polpharma in Poland, supporting the PerkinElmer OneSource Enterprise program. Acting as PerkinElmer’s on-site ambassador, the Engineer safeguards the reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance of a diverse, multi-vendor fleet of analytical and laboratory instrumentation. The role combines hands-on instrument service – installation, maintenance, repair, and qualification – with the documentation and data-integrity discipline required in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment, with the goal of maximizing laboratory uptime and customer satisfaction.

​ ​Responsibilities 

  • ​​Install, commission, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and qualification of third-party (multi-vendor) analytical and laboratory instrumentation at the Polpharma site. 
  • ​Coordinate and schedule all on-site service activity, ensuring work is delivered to OneSource and customer quality standards. 
  • ​Manage the full OneSource service scope for the site, including instrument repair. 
  • ​Maintain documentation and QMS compliance to GMP standards, keeping all records at the correct revision level. 
  • ​Deliver on-site user familiarization and training on defined product groups. 
  • ​Manage on-site spare-parts inventory and service tools with high accuracy, and ensure all test equipment is calibrated within the required timelines. 
  • ​Provide timely status updates on service tickets, attach Field Service Reports (FSR), and confirm time entries in the service-management system. 
  • ​Complete all administrative reporting on time. 
  • ​Raise quality notifications and proactively identify opportunities to improve product quality, reliability, and laboratory workflows. 
  • ​Support the site’s health, safety, security, environmental, and compliance requirements, and contribute to OneSource team performance targets and SLAs. 
  • ​Identify and flag billable-service, consumable, and upgrade opportunities to the OneSource account team.​ 

Critical Skills

  • ​​Strong hands-on troubleshooting across multi-vendor laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC/UHPLC, GC). 
  • ​Working knowledge of GMP-regulated pharmaceutical laboratory operations, qualification lifecycles, and data-integrity requirements. 
  • ​Disciplined documentation and QMS adherence, with high accuracy and accountability. 
  • ​Customer-focused mindset with clear, professional written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • ​High degree of autonomy, ownership, and rigor, combined with a collaborative team spirit.​ 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related technical or scientific discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a field-service or technical-service role on analytical or laboratory instrumentation OR Completed technical or vocational qualification in a relevant technical field, plus 5+ years’ experience servicing or using analytical instrumentation. 
  • Fluent Polish (professional working proficiency) and good working English, both written and spoken. 
  • Valid category B driving licence and willingness to travel as required by the customer site and region. 
  • Legal right to work in Poland. 
  • Solid MS Office skills and confidence working with service-management and documentation systems. 
  • Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Experience gained in a GMP or pharmaceutical laboratory environment. 
  • Familiarity with chromatography data systems (CDS) and instrument-control software, and with data-integrity best practices. 
  • Depth in chromatography (LC/GC)
