Customer Journey Expert (Business analyst) – Aladdin Platform

We are looking for a Business analyst with strong expertise and knowledge in asset management value chain and risk management tooling (preferably Aladdin, powered by Blackrock) to strengthen our Global Investments Tribe.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our investment platform transformation, ensuring that Aladdin is effectively integrated, optimized, and aligned with our end-to-end investment processes.

You combine a strong process mindset, analytical skills, and stakeholder management capabilities with a solid understanding of asset management tooling and IT landscapes.

The team

You will join the asset management cluster within the Global Investments Tribe, working on our shared investment distribution & manufacturing platforms across markets.

Our distribution platform integrates front-end customer journeys (mobile & wen) with back-end systems. And our asset management platform enables ING Group to manufacture and manage proprietary investment products such as Mutual funds. We operate in a complex, international environment, with:

• Strong focus on end-to-end (E2E) investment processes
• Continuous integration of Aladdin capabilities into the ING ecosystem
• High collaboration between Asset Management, Investment specialists from the Investment Center, IT, and Product teams
• A clear ambition to scale globally and onboard new countries

Roles and responsibilities

As a CJE for Aladdin, you play a key role in translating business needs into effective solutions leveraging Aladdin and the broader IT landscape.

Stakeholder management

• Act as the primary interface and central point of coordination between our team, the Investment Center, IT, Operations, the vendor (Blackrock) and external partners
• Align stakeholders across domains and ensure clear communication and understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Challenge requirements and ensure clarity, prioritization & alignment

Business & functional analysis

• Translate business needs into functional specifications and requirements linked to Aladdin capabilities
• Drive solution design in collaboration with IT and external vendors
• Support data flows, integrations, and configuration of Aladdin within ING’s ecosystem
• Design and structure end-to-end investment processes involving Aladdin (e.g.  portfolio management, trade lifecycle, reporting)
• Coordinate change requests & issue resolution

Platform stability, evolution & continuous improvement

• Own the user management and permission of Aladdin
• Contribute to the evolution of Aladdin capabilities within the global platform
• Support onboarding of new functionalities, products, and countries
• Help improve process efficiency and platform stability
• Maintain oversight of contractual agreements and service performance, ensuring alignment with agreed SLA’s
• Monitor platform performance and proactively identify improvement areas to enhance stability and scalabitlity

Success measures for this role

• Ensure the delivery of the required connections and the support processes for Aladdin TFI instance by October (this is already being worked on)
• Clarify the requirements & roadmap for the merger of Aladdin TFI and Aladdin ING instances by Q1 2026
• Maintain platform service performance in line with agreed SLA targets
• Achieve stakholder satisfaction of at least 4 out of 5 across Investment Center, TFI, IT & Operations and vendor teams during major Aladdin-related initiatives

Your profile

Experience

• +5 years of experience as Business Analyst and proven experience with investments, portfolio management and/or fund management
• Hands-on exposure to Aladdin or similar asset management platforms is a strong plus

Key skills

• Strong affinity with IT (systems, integrations, data flows, APIs)
• Solid understanding of asset management processes (portfolio, trading, lifecycle)
• Strong process thinking (E2E) and ability to structure complexity
• Excellent problem analysis and solution-driven mindset
• Ability to design, document, and optimize processes
• Capable negotiator, able to handle complex trade-offs and prioritization discussions under delivery pressure
