Job description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a CT Technologist for a top healthcare client in Roanoke, VA.

This position performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography technology to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The CT Tech plays an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate care while ensuring adherence to established imaging standards and patient safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and operate technical equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Administer IV contrast injections and monitor patients for safety and comfort.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
  • Participate in the training and mentorship of students and staff as assigned.
  • Manage patient processing tasks including scheduling, registration, and documentation.
  • Enhance personal and professional growth through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Experience

  • Previous CT experience preferred

Certifications/Licenses

  • ARRT certification required
  • CT registry required within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Skills or Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
  • Technical expertise in CT imaging equipment
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced clinical setting
