CSA Engineer

We have an opportunity for a CSA Engineer (Envelope) on a major data centre project in Dublin 15. This is a key role with leading a team whose focus is to ensure excellence in delivery of a dynamic project environment.

You will be a dynamic well rounded engineer with a demonstrated history on large scale projects to ensure our data centre construction projects meet specified standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review façade and envelope designs using advanced CAD and BIM tools.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure envelope stability under various load conditions.
• Select appropriate envelope materials considering durability, fire safety, thermal performance, and sustainability.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to achieve integrated solutions.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics related to envelope systems.
• Conduct site inspections to confirm design implementation and quality assurance.:
• Integrate energy-efficient and environmentally responsible solutions into building envelope projects.
• Evaluate and propose new materials, technologies, and construction methods to improve performance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for client approvals and regulatory permits.
• Provide guidance to the construction team on envelope-related engineering issues.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Professional engineering license (Chartered Engineer or equivalent) preferred.
• Proven experience with structural calculations, finite element analysis, and material selection for envelopes.
• 3/5years of relevant experience in building envelope or façade engineering within commercial or institutional construction projects.
