<undefined><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is looking for a full-time Crossing Guard Assistant Supervisor to join our team. The position is located within the Operations Support Division at the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Building.</span><br></undefined><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Under the general direction of the designated manager, supervises Crossing Guards for the Sheriff's Office. This position interviews potential guards; creates weekly schedules; reviews time sheets; orders uniforms; ensures Guards have all needed equipment; oversees completion of training requirements; tracks daily activities; teaches Safety Patrol in schools; and conducts pedestrian/traffic studies for schools.</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><u>Other Job Functions:</u></span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><ul><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Assists with the supervision of the Crossing Guard Unit; ensures equipment assigned to the Crossing Guards is in working order.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Reviews time sheets for accuracy; tracks staff overtime.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Ensures efficient and effective use of County equipment and property, in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Alters work schedule to ensure staffing coverage to meet service demands.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Ensures compliance with established General Orders and County policies and procedures.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Supervises Crossing Guards.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Oversees completion of all E-Learning, MOAT, and any other electronic requirements for the Guards.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Assists in traffic control as needed at crossing; directs traffic with whistles and hand signals.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Maintains an eye on and directs traffic for cars and buses entering and exiting school parking lot as needed.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Sets up and takes down cones and other signage for traffic control.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Observes traffic.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Communicates with school office upon arrival/departure and as needed via radio.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Assists in traffic control at special events as directed by competent authority.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Reports hazardous conditions at student crossing locations.</span></li></ul><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience.&nbsp;</span><undefined><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Associate degree and three (3) years of related work experience including one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.&nbsp;<span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Must be at least 18 years of age.&nbsp;</span></span><br></undefined><undefined><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application, in-person interview(s), and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal background check, credit check, driving record, and polygraph examination.</span><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records reviewed annually for continued qualification). Desire CPR certification. Take required e-learning and on-site training.</span><br></undefined>
