You will recognize any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and take appropriate action to troubleshoot and correct issues when possible. To facilitate the timeliness of hearings, the incumbent will gather parties, call for in-custody defendants, place calls to parties for telephonic hearings, and relay information to the judge or judicial assistant.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">Additionally, you will administer oaths and distribute temporary orders, pre-sentence orders, and other required paperwork. You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of exhibits, ensuring that they are marked, listed on the exhibit list, properly accounted for, and stored during the trial. At the end of the trial, exhibits will be returned to the parties or placed into storage. You will also ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of jurors during jury trials and will be accountable for the playback of testimony during deliberations. When not in court, you may assist other court departments and perform other duties as assigned by the Clerk of Court.</span></p><p><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">This position will fill in as backup to the evening, weekend, and holiday clerks when needed.
