ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for positions INTERNATIONAL HOST/HOSTESS for COSTA CRUISES!

The International Host/Hostess, acting as the leader of a specific language speaking group, focuses on public relations dedicating most of the time to socialize with guests, fulfilling their requests and needs, and providing prompt feedback and follow-up actions. In doing so the role needs to balance sensitivity and empathy, to acknowledge guests feelings, and flexibility and self-control to cope with demanding situations. The International Host/Hostess is always well groomed and dressed to be a perfect company representative and utilizes personality to positively influence people contributing to achieve the main Company’s goals in terms of NPS & OBR. The International Host/Hostess fosters a collaborative spirit with all departments within hotel operations, while personally exhibiting the Costa Values and Culture Essentials.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing the cruise most important information about the ship and the services in a very precise, detailed, and concise way during the Travel Talk IN, and presenting the International Host/Hostess role assuring that Guests’ might experience a wonderful and unforgettable cruise.
  • Meeting guests at the Travel Talk OUT, prepared carefully taking into considerations the cruise’s trend to achieve the best possible results, to give disembarkation info, sharing the most emotional moments of the cruise, explain the importance of the eCF and how to fill it in.
  • Listening patiently guests needs, making them feel important and unique and assisted and supported during the whole cruise.
  • Using linguistic and cultural affinity to make guests feeling at ease and foster their loyal to Costa.
  • Organizing dedicated Hospitality Desks, at least 2 hour per day when in port and 3 hours during sea days, to meet guests or help them for any requests, publicizing at the same time the various onboard daily activities and revenue outlets according to guests’ typology and age.
  • Carrying out public relations with guests in various occasions during the day or the evening to constantly monitor their level of satisfaction.
  • Attending the main social and public events of the ship: VIP Party, Costa Club Show, cocktails when foreseen, the theme parties and all day/evening activities which mainly involve the international guests.
  • Helping for bus dispatching at the pier, or onboard if meeting points have been foreseen, in order to provide language assistance and acting as a point of reference for international guests.
  • Giving promotional support to the Tour Department, participating directly in the excursions where International Host/Hostess presence is most required to actively socializing with guests, and avoid language barrier. Full day or half day participation will be decided according to guests’ needs.
  • Ensuring visibility of the International Host/Hostess position during the main embarkation giving the best and warmest welcome onboard to the guests belonging to the relevant language group, inviting them to the first official meeting. Consequently, the Travel Talk IN should be scheduled according to the flow of languages and nationalities.
  • Monitoring guests’ satisfaction and providing feedback to the relevant Head of departments about complaints to allow effective solutions.
  • Promoting and advertising OBR activities (excursions and revenue outlets in particular), collaborating with the revenue team to promote and enhance the various services and concessionaries, ensuring a positive revenue come-back.
  • Providing translation support during special cruises when lecturers come on board to ensure, to the represented language group, an understanding of the subjects and topics discussed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 19 years old
  • Good level of English and Kazakh language
  • Knowledge of any additional European language is an advantage ( Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese)
  • At least 1 year experience in Hotels in similar positions (Guest Services, Reception)
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Work with international team members.
  • Tattoos are allowed (except offensive and facial)
