Job description

Aureol Global Connections is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs to ensure successful financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, estimators, and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting. Your insights will play a critical role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects based on scope and specifications.
  • Monitor and control project costs, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization and value engineering.
  • Maintain comprehensive cost documentation and ensure accurate cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and change order management with clients and subcontractors.
  • Utilize cost control software and tools to track expenses and support project financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to cost management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or in a similar cost management role.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Professional certification in cost engineering or project management is a plus.
