Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and monitoring internal audits of EagleBurgmann subsidiaries in the areas of customs and export control compliance

  • Supporting global subsidiaries across the group on international trade compliance and foreign trade law matters

  • Advising and training responsible employees of EagleBurgmann subsidiaries on the legally compliant execution of customs and export control processes

  • Regularly reviewing current legislation and adapting global processes accordingly

  • Monitoring changes in German, European, and U.S. export control regulations and implementing and adjusting global processes as required

  • Supporting and advising the International Trade Compliance team in day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance, including adherence to the four-eyes principle

Qualifications:

  • University degree or completed commercial vocational training with a focus on customs, export control, or international trade

  • Several years of professional experience in customs and export control within an industrial/manufacturing company

  • Sound knowledge of the Union Customs Code (UCC) and German, European, and U.S. (re-)export control regulations

  • Strong understanding of operational processes combined with analytical and process-oriented thinking

  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical and compliant operational solutions

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (ERP and GTS) and Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent German and English language skills, along with willingness to travel internationally

  • Strong team-oriented mindset and excellent teamwork skills
