Exsecant provides copy editing of a broad range of scientific, technical and medical content covering school books, higher education books, and scholarly research papers that publish in journals and books. The copy editing process is a combination of language editing and technical editing. We provide light, medium, and substantial copy editing as per requirement. Topics vary across all disciplines, including mathematics. We have the ability to produce thorough edits on short deadlines, flexibility to adapt work based on instructions, strong attention to details and directions, working knowledge of style manuals, including APA, CMS, AMA and customized house styles.

The copy editors should be able to follow the publisher’s in-house style sheet, or optionally apply copy editing’s best practice and good judgment to achieve stylistic consistency and accuracy throughout a publication. Our standard copyediting requirements include corrections for:

· Spelling, including British to American English and vice versa.

· Grammar, including rephrasing sentences for non-English-speaking authors.

· References and footnotes, for technical accuracy and placement of citations.

· Captioning to match figures and tables, and type-marking for mathematics.

· Consistency to ensure that all elements of a manuscript are properly presented.

· Copy editors are needed for scientific journals as well as book projects.
