Job description

Schedule: Onsite in our Carlsbad, CA office. Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00 PM PST

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health

Revenue Cycle Management manages a team focused on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Responsibilities

  • Open and scanning daily mail

  • Bank Deposits 3x per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and follow up splitting/scanning

  • Forwarding Faxes 200+ daily including but not limited to: authorizations, med recs requests, ins faxes, EOBs etc.

  • Charging credit cards insurance/patient. Comments on appropriate accounts.

  • Calling patients as needed for cc questions.

  • Copying/tearing refund checks to assist refund team.

  • Scanning, distributing any/all hard copy and electronic communication including faxing outbound offset requests.

  • Organizing MCR SNF letters, updating, SNF Tracker daily and filing.

  • Review and scanning Financial Hardship Forms.

  • Assignments of Benefits (AOB) process.

  • Assisting sorting inbound hard copy mail for resolution.

  • Member dispute resolution process

  • Scanning Bulk Rx EOB's

  • Documenting/scanning all outgoing refund checks


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience, preferred

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred

Anticipated hourly range: $15.75/hr. - $18.50/hr.
