Position Description:

·        Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner.  

·        Prepare and cook food according to prescribed menus, standardized recipes, and procedures, requiring the exercise of

some judgment and initiative.

·        Organize and prepare mis en place. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads,

gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles

·        Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.

·        Reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine

Requirements

Skills & Abilities

·        Minimum of three years’ experience as a Cook A in a similar size operation

·        Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

·        Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

·        Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions.

·        Thorough working knowledge of cold/hot food preparation
