As a Budget & Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in negotiating and managing budget, site agreements, confidentiality agreements, that support our clinical research efforts. Your work will help drive the success of groundbreaking studies while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

In this role, you will be part of our FSPx team and work directly with one of our renowned key sponsor to advance the development of innovative, life-changing medications.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop country and site budgets.
  • Build and manage complex budget templates/models.
  • Track and report on budget negotiations.
  • Maintain budget tracking and reporting tools.
  • Negotiate, obtain approvals for, and manage contracts (e.g., CTRAs, amendments).
  • Calculate and manage payments (investigators, vendors, grants).
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and policies.
  • Perform budget close-out activities.

Required Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Fortrea may consider equivalent relevant experience in lieu of educational requirements.

  • 1-3 years of experience in contract negotiation, clinical research, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of ICH GCP guidelines and clinical research processes.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract tracking systems.
