Job description

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a highly qualified Hematologist to join its multidisciplinary medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced physicians specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant blood disorders.

We are looking for candidates holding UK CCT, American Board Certification, Australian Fellowship, Western European Board Certification, or South African Fellowship, with strong post-qualification experience in hematology.

  • Diagnose and manage patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders.
  • Evaluate and treat conditions such as anemia, bleeding disorders, clotting disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other blood diseases.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care where applicable.
  • Interpret laboratory investigations including peripheral blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, coagulation studies, and molecular diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, transfusion medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust management plans accordingly.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term follow-up.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital quality standards.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • MD, DM, CCT, Fellowship, or equivalent qualification in Hematology.
  • UK CCT, American Board, Australian Fellowship, Western European Board, or South African Fellowship preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-board experience as a Hematologist in a recognized tertiary care hospital.
  • Experience managing both benign and malignant hematological disorders.
  • Proficiency in interpreting hematological laboratory investigations and bone marrow pathology.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification is preferred.
