We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Provide IT project delivery, and assist project manager on project planning, stakeholder communication, development, testing, release and so on.
• Lead or assist teammate to provide business & technical solution fit for business need.
• Accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
• Liaise with other teams, include architects, business stakeholders and so on to understand and drive the product or service’s direction.
• Conduct end-to-end system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation.
• Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
• Prepare project-related documentation and provide support on compliance and audit checking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years rich hands-on experience in development.
• Experience of delivering high quality and complex system solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proven hands-on experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of front-end build tools and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices for front-end testing.
• Solid experience in CI/CD tools, such as GitHub, Maven, Groovy, Nexus, Jenkins.
• Knowledge and experience with Distributed systems, Micro-service architecture and APIs.
• Knowledge and experience with relational database.
• Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, test automation and toolings, etc).
• Able to work in Agile working model.
• Strong passion for technology and engineering.
