As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and proactive Compliance Officer to join our Compliance & Risk team based in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Risk, the Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day compliance activities of the business. This position is responsible for coordinating employee and subcontractor compliance, supporting international mobilisation, maintaining certifications and accreditations, and ensuring Crown continues to meet client, legal and regulatory requirements across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee compliance records, training matrices and certification databases.
  • Monitor licence, training and competency expiry dates and coordinate renewals.
  • Support the mobilisation of employees across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including work permits, visas, A1 certificates and right-to-work documentation.
  • Coordinate the onboarding and ongoing compliance of subcontractors.
  • Review and maintain subcontractor documentation, including insurance, training records, competency certificates and health & safety documentation.
  • Prepare client prequalification submissions and upload documentation to client compliance portals.
  • Support project mobilisation by coordinating project-specific compliance documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining company accreditations, including ISO Management Systems, Achilles, Safe-T-Cert, Constructionline, CHAS, SafeContractor, Avetta and EcoVadis.
  • Maintain compliance trackers, reports, document control systems and action logs.
  • Assist with audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal departments, subcontractors, clients and external agencies.

  • Previous experience in an administration, coordination or compliance role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong document management and administrative skills.
  • Professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Experience supporting ISO Management Systems or quality management systems.
  • Experience coordinating workforce mobilisation.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor onboarding and compliance.
  • Experience working with certification or accreditation schemes.
  • Third-level qualification in Business Administration, Compliance, Construction Management or a related discipline is desirable, though relevant experience will also be considered.
